Shetland Bird's Eye Pattern
I love this stitch, but find it hard not to make mistakes in it. The photo is my third attempt at knitting a swatch, and even in this I started to make mistakes towards the top and didn't carry on. I've devised an easier but much less elegant version - Big Bird's Eye.

- Row 1 (RS): K3, yo, *sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k3, yo, repeat from * to last 6 sts, sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k3.
- Row 2: K2, ssk, yo, *k1, yo, k2tog, k1, ssk, yo, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k1, yo, k2tog, k2.
- Row 3: K2, k2tog, yo, k1, *yo, ssk, yo, sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 4 sts, yo, ssk, k2.
