This pattern is a simple cable in two-colour brioche stitch knitted in the round.

In two-colour brioche stitch, two different coloured yarns are used. For simplicity, I call them "light" (LC = light colour) and "dark" (DC = dark colour) respectively.

Each row of in the knitted garment actually comprises of one LC row and one DC row. In the instructions, odd number rows are LC rows, and even number rows are DC rows.

The nature of two-colour brioche stitch means there is a "light side" (LS) and a "dark side" (DS). In the instructions, RS means "light side", where the LC stitches stand out more. WS means "dark side".

Note on Cable Stitches 2/2 LC and 2/2 RC

Stitch Map doesn't allow for customized cable stitches. What I noted as "2/2 LC" (2-2 left cross cable) should be:

1. Slip 2 sts onto cable needle
2. Hold cable needle in front
3. K1, brSl from the left needle
4. K1, brSl from cable needle

"2/2 RC" (2-2 right cross cable):

1. Slip 2 sts onto cable needle
2. Hold cable needle in back
3. K1, brSl from the left needle
4. K1, brSl from cable needle

Cast-On and Setup

Cast on in DC. Optionally, use a 1x1 ribbing cast on.

Work rows 7 (LC) and 8 (DC) once.

Bind-Off

Bind off in DC using a matching stitch to the CO.
