This is a combination of two airy lace designs: A: an eyelet lace pattern for the body of a shawl. B: a mesh-like, very open design to be used as the border of a shawl. This Stitch-Map is a combination of Part A, and Part B. PART A's PATTERN IS 20 ROWS - REPEAT ROWS 1 THROUGH 20 UNTIL YOU REACH THE DESIRED LENGTH OF THE GARMENT. THEN - BEGIN ROWS 21-36 FOR THE OPEN-MESH BORDER. Note the st count will increase 18 sts for every completed row 1-20 pattern, increasing the horizontal size of the garment.
Shown with a cast-on count of 31 stitches.
