Row 38: Do not BO but rather place 17 stitches on scrap yarn (the center stitch is worked twice / on both sides).

Rows 38+: Do not M1L - those are the lives stitches of the shawl that you are knitting the edging onto.

Repeat Rows 50-65 as needed.
