Spider Edging
The original instructions in Tessa Lorant's Collection of Knitted Lace Edgings* suggest:
- Work k5tog as follows: [slip 1 st as if to knit] twice, k3tog, pass 2 slipped sts over k3tog.
- Work bind-off on row 6 purlwise.

- Row 1 (RS): [Yo, k2tog] twice, [yo, k1] 3 times, yo, k2 (13 sts).
- Row 2: P11, k2.
- Row 3: [Yo, k2tog] twice, yo, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, yo, k2 (17 sts).
- Row 4: P15, k2.
- Row 5: [Yo, k2tog] twice, yo, k5tog, yo, k1, yo, k5tog, yo, k2 (13 sts).
- Row 6: BO 4 sts, p6, k2 (9 sts).
