Soft-edged diamond 1
Ideally for the sake of symmetry the stitches knit through the back of the loop should be mirrored. I knit those on left leaning diagonals in the usual way. Those on right leaning diagonals I work as follows: slip stitch knitwise, return to left needle then knit the stitch as usual in what is now the front loop.
