Cast on an odd number of stitches. K 2 rows before beginning the stitch pattern. An easy pattern for a baby blanket, shawl or scarf, using smooth or textured or multicolored yarn. To knit a swatch, knit 2 rows in garter stitch, then begin working in pattern with desired yarn and needles to determine gauge, and to audition the yarn and needles for this pattern.
