The "k8tog" on Row 15 should work just like the decrease as given in the book. If you'd like to do it the exact same way substitute "k1, return this st to right needle, then pass the last 7 sts over this st, one at a time, then slip the 'k1' st back to the left needle." "k8tog" is a lot shorter!!
