Unvented. Inspired by Barbara Walker's dragon skin pattern, modified to be worked top down.

This is basically Lacy dragon scales, modified to use less open increases.

For the purposes of this map, it's M1R and M1L, which are worked into the strand between the stitches. These could also be done as

a backwards loop cast on, mirrored as needed - see Rox's video of EZ's make 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aviYf_70e2Q, or
a yarnover that is twisted on the following row (as seen in the swatch)
