- Rows 1, 5, and 7 (RS): *BrSl, k1, repeat from *.
- Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: *BrSl, k1, repeat from *.
- Row 3: BrSl, *k3tog, brSl, 1-to-5 inc, brSl, sl1-k2tog-psso, brSl, repeat from * to last st, k1.
Cast-on count
- multiple of 10 stitches, plus 2
