Kumo Scarf
Simple, thin scarf. Work two halves, and join in middle with Kitchener Stitch for a seamless join.
NOTE: Use one vertical repeat (not 2).
For each half: After working the below (4 repeats of Feather and Fan, and then the motif), knit in stockinette (with three stitches on each edge being garter stitch) until half the yarn is used.
Shown with a cast-on count of 36 stitches.
- Row 1 (RS): P36.
- Rows 2, 6, 10, and 14: *[K2tog] twice, [yo, k1] 4 times, [k2tog] twice, repeat from *.
- Rows 3, 7, 11, and 15: Knit.
- Rows 4, 8, 12, and 16: Knit.
- Rows 5, 9, and 13: Purl.
- Rows 17 and 29: K3, *k2, k2tog, k1, yo, yo, k1, ssk, k2, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
- Rows 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, and 58: Purl.
- Rows 19 and 31: K3, *k1, k2tog, k1, yo, k2, yo, k1, ssk, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
- Rows 21 and 33: K3, *k2tog, k1, yo, k4, yo, k1, ssk, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
