From the Estonian book Silmuskudumine by Claire Hallik (1973) - pattern #5. Basically, this is a 1x2 rib but it's interrupted every 4th row.
Shown with a cast-on count of 7 stitches.
- Rows 1 and 3 (RS): *K1, p2, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 2: *K1, p2, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 4: Purl.
