Herringbone
A single-color version of the Herringbone pattern that appears in Nancy Marchant’s Knitting Fresh Brioche*.
The scarf shown in the swatch photos was knit in Hazel Knits Lively DK in Splish Splash, on 4mm needles, over 30 stitches. One skein made a scarf just over 3' 10" long.

- Rows 1 and 5 (RS): *BrSl, k1, repeat from *.
- Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: *BrSl, k1, repeat from *.
- Row 3: [BrSl, k1] twice, *brSl, k1, brSl, k3tog, brSl, (k1, yo, k1) in next st, repeat from * to last 2 sts, brSl, k1.
- Row 7: BrSl, k1, brSl, *(k1, yo, k1) in next st, brSl, sl1-k2tog-psso, brSl, k1, brSl, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, brSl, k1.
Cast-on count
- multiple of 8 stitches, plus 6
