Fraises

This is my first encoded lace stitch! Using the chart Naomi of Gannet Designs has for turning words into numbers, I encoded the French word for strawberries - and this is what happened. I'll be making more encoded charts in the future, so stay tuned!

  • Rows 1 and 15 (RS): Ssk, yo, p1, yo, ssk, *k2tog, yo, p1, yo, sl2-k1-p2sso, yo, p1, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k2tog, yo, p1, yo, k2tog.
  • Rows 2 and 16: P2, *k1, p4, k1, p3, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k1, p4, k1, p2.
  • Rows 3 and 5: K2, yo, k1, ssk, *k2tog, k1, yo, k3, yo, k1, ssk, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k2tog, k1, yo, k2.
  • Rows 4, 6, 10, and 14: Purl.
  • Rows 7 and 11: Ssk, k1, [yo] twice, ssk, *k2tog, [yo] twice, k1, sl2-k1-p2sso, k1, [yo] twice, ssk, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k2tog, [yo] twice, k1, k2tog.
