Attention: I am not absolutely sure about my translation from "old" German knitting terms to stitch map knitting terms. This stitch map is not test knit.

This is a very old stitch pattern (published 1843). I compared the original version of an old pattern to a newer publication from 1983 and tried to find out about the wording. I am collecting my results in a WIKI: strickzeug.wikidot.com. With that list I am trying to decipher some less known patterns like this one. With the wonderful stitch maps technology it wound be able to catalog those patterns. A swatch photo would be nice and I encourage everybody to provide one.

I am tagging all patterns from the above mentioned book with "Nannette Höflich".

My user name at Ravelry is calanau.
