Knitted loop border for a lace shawl

A crochet lookalike loop border, shown here finishing the Erich Engeln pattern Kunststrickmuster Blatt 19B.

The loops can be made bigger by putting double yarnovers in row 137 and working seven or more stitches into them in row 138. For the blue shawl in the second swatch photo (based on a tablecloth by Herbert Niebling) I knitted seven stitches into a double yarnover.
