Row 4 of the original seems to contain a typo: p2 instead of p3 (as required to fit with rows 3 and 5). Rows 5-10 are only repeating rows 1-5; thus I skipped them in the stitch map.

This is a very old stitch pattern book (published 1842). I compared the original version of an old pattern to a newer publication from 1983 and tried to find out about the wording. I am collecting my results in a WIKI: strickzeug.wikidot.com. With that list I am trying to decipher some less known patterns like this one. With the wonderful stitch maps technology it wound be able to catalog those patterns. A swatch photo would be nice and I encourage everybody to provide one.

I am tagging all patterns from the above mentioned book with "Juliane Pauker".
