8 segment circle

Derived from Lucy Neatby's blossom pattern. Intended for use with circular double knitting. Each stitch in chart represents the near stitch of a pair. The far (purl) stitch is implied. The chart appears to be an arc, but, in practice this creates a successful flat circle.

  • Round 1: K8.
  • Round 2: [Ctr dbl inc] 8 times (24 sts).
  • Rounds 3-5, 7-9, 11-13, and 15-17: Knit.
  • Round 6: [K1, ctr dbl inc, k1] 8 times (40 sts).
  • Round 10: [K2, ctr dbl inc, k2] 8 times (56 sts).
  • Round 14: [K3, ctr dbl inc, k3] 8 times (72 sts).
