Checkerboard Mesh - In the Round
The checkerboard mesh pattern from Barbara G. Walker's A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, adapted for knitting in the round. I modified the pattern to begin with what is row 8 in the original instructions.
Shown with a cast-on count of 20 stitches.
- Rounds 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19: Knit.
- Round 2: *[Yo, ssk] 4 times, k2, repeat from *.
- Rounds 4 and 20: *K1, [yo, ssk] 3 times, k3, repeat from *.
- Rounds 6 and 18: *K2, [yo, ssk] twice, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from *.
- Rounds 8 and 16: *K3, yo, ssk, k1, [k2tog, yo] twice, repeat from *.
- Rounds 10 and 14: *Yo, k4, [k2tog, yo] twice, k2tog, repeat from *.
- Round 12: *K2tog, yo, k2, [k2tog, yo] 3 times, repeat from *.
