CELL STITCH- REP 1-4 TIL DESIRED LENGTH, END ROW 5
An interesting semi-lace, semi-texture stitch that is attractive, and warm, whether used as a cowl, hat, or as a panel in an afghan, sweater, shawl, etc. I always begin a row with a slip st and end with a plain K st - NOT INCLUDED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW - to form a nice edge.

- Row 1 (RS): K1, *yo, sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k1, repeat from *.
- Rows 2 and 4: Knit.
- Row 3: K2tog, yo, k1, *yo, sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 2 sts, yo, ssk.
- Row 5: K1, *yo, k2tog, repeat from *.
- Repeat rows 1-4.
