Basketweave - 5 stitches
A common textural pattern. Very nice for dishcloths, towels, baby blankets as a main pattern. Easy to memorize, easy easy. Includes 5 stitch garter edging. Start and end with 10 rows of garter stitch (5 ridges). Easy to adapt to a smaller or larger weave.
Shown with a cast-on count of 35 stitches.
- Rows 1, 3, and 5 (RS): K5, *p5, k5, repeat from * to last 10 sts, p5, k5.
- Rows 2 and 4: K5, *k5, p5, repeat from * to last 10 sts, k5, k5.
- Rows 6, 8, and 10: K5, *p5, k5, repeat from * to last 10 sts, p5, k5.
- Rows 7 and 9: K5, *k5, p5, repeat from * to last 10 sts, k5, k5.
