Basic Chevron with Slipped Stitch Accent

Repeat of 22 + 1. Even rows can be worked in knit instead of purl (as was the original from Knittingfool.com). Change colors every 2 rows, or as often or rarely as you'd like. Knittingfool.com reminds us to work the increases and decreases in pattern on the cast off row. I did change the ssk and k2tog at the start and end to better fit the pattern. Rows 1-4 form the pattern.

Shown with a cast-on count of 67 stitches.   Getting chart...

  • Row 1 (RS): K1, k2tog, k8, M1L, k1, M1R, *k8, ssk, k1, k2tog, k8, M1L, k1, M1R, repeat from * to last 11 sts, k8, ssk, k1.
  • Rows 2 and 4: P11, *sl1 wyif, p10, repeat from * to last st, k1.
