A roll of the dice (lace)
I’ve been wanting to try rolling dice to generate a stitch pattern for a while, using my secret code techniques for the layout, and so this is a try at that. I think it worked out well. Here is my blog post about this pattern.
Shown with a cast-on count of 14 stitches.
- Row 1 (RS): K1, *k1, 1/1 RC, 1/1 LC, k1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Rows 2 and 4: K1, *p6, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 3: K1, *k2tog, yo, k2, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 5: K1, *yo, k1, k2tog, ssk, k1, yo, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 6: K1, *p5, k1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 7: K1, *k1, k2tog, [yo] twice, ssk, k1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 8: K1, *p2, k1, p3, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 9: K1, *sl2-k1-p2sso, [yo] twice, sl2-k1-p2sso, repeat from * to last st, k1 (multiple of 4 sts, plus 2).
- Row 10: K1, *p1, k1, p2, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 11: K1, *[yo] twice, ssk, k2tog, [yo] twice, repeat from * to last st, k1 (multiple of 6 sts, plus 2).
- Row 12: K1, *k1, p3, k1, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
