I am making a hat using the Wickerwork stitch pattern from Barbara G. Walker's A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. This stitch map is for the hat's crown decreases. To set up the decreases, end at row 10 of the wickerwork stitch pattern.

IMPORTANT: 1) Before starting round 5, slip the last stitch to the beginning (it becomes the first stitch). 3) Before starting round 7, slip the first stitch to the end. The stitch map wiggles a little -- row 5 is one stitch too far left, row 7 is back on track -- because it cannot accommodate this instruction; but in real life, the knits and purls will line up.
