Totem Pole Lace Stitch
This is a re written and slightly modified version of the Totem Pole Lace Stitch pattern used for the Totem scarf. Or go to Ravelry. I might use the pattern to knit another dishcloth.
Shown with a cast-on count of 34 stitches.
- Rows 1 and 9 (RS): K1, *p1, k3, k2tog, yo, k4, yo, ssk, k3, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Rows 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12: K1, *k1, p14, k1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Rows 3 and 11: K1, *p1, k2, k2tog, yo, k6, yo, ssk, k2, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 5: K1, *p1, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, p4, k2, yo, ssk, k1, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 6: K1, *k1, p5, k4, p5, k1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Row 7: K1, *p1, k2tog, yo, k3, p4, k3, yo, ssk, p1, repeat from * to last st, k1.
- Repeat rows 1-8.

- multiple of 16 stitches, plus 2
