Dorothy Reade says that the k5tog is to be performed as follows: k2togtbl, k3tog, pass the first stitch over the second. She also uses kbf rather than kfb.

- Rows 5 and 7: K1, yo, k2tog tbl, k3, k2tog, yo, k1.
- Row 9: K1, kfb, yo, k5tog, yo, kfb, k1.
- Row 11: Knit.
- Row 12: Yo, purl (10 sts).
