Pi Shawl Basic Construction
These are the basic steps for the construction of a Half Pi or Semi Circle shawl. NB: Remember that double the diameter = double the circumference. This means every time you double your row count, insert an increase row to double the stitch count.
Shown with a cast-on count of 0 stitches.
- Row 0 (RS): CO 4 sts (4 sts).
- Rows 1, 3, and 5: Knit.
- Row 2: *K1, yo, repeat from * to last st, k1 (7 sts).
- Row 4: Knit.
- Row 6: *K1, yo, repeat from * to last st, k1 (13 sts).
