This creates a slightly smaller hole as if it was just k1 into the yo, but it creates a little hole. I like the look of this the most. If there were no yo but just M1R and M1L, there would be no hole at all.
Also the 1/1 LT in row 4 and the first 1/1 RT in row 8 are not done just with ktbl. I just could not find the symbol. In row 4 it is cross the stitches, k1 tbl, k1 and in row 8 it is cross the stitches, k1, k1 tbl. This creates a neater leaf in my opinion.
