Diamonds with cable cross modified
A modified version of this pattern. I've used central double decreases and a one over two cable to make the pattern smoother. This cable is easy to knit without a cable needle.
This reverse side of this (and the original pattern) is quite attractive.

- Row 1 (RS): K1, p2, *p1, k3, p2, k1, yo, sl2-k1-p2sso, yo, k1, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
- Rows 2, 4, and 12: K3, *k1, p5, k2, p3, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, sl1 wyif.
- Row 3: K1, p2, *p1, 1/2 RC, p2, ssk, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
- Row 5: K1, p2, *p1, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, p2, ssk, k1, k2tog, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
- Rows 6, 8, and 10: K3, *k1, p3, k2, p5, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, sl1 wyif.
- Row 7: K1, p2, *p1, k1, yo, sl2-k1-p2sso, yo, k1, p2, k3, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
- Row 9: K1, p2, *p1, ssk, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, p2, 1/2 RC, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
- Row 11: K1, p2, *p1, ssk, k1, k2tog, p2, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p2, sl1 wyif.
