Old shale diagonal - decreasing corner
This is one option to square the top and k2tog side of Old Shale diagonal 2 fabric. You could also center it around the k2tog dip rather than the YO arch, but then it would be impossible to make a square with the OS diagonal and the OS increasing corner.
I'm not sure why, but Stitch Maps refuses to repeat this.

- Rows 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, and 21 (WS): Purl.
- Row 2: [K2tog] 6 times, [yo, k1] 3 times, [k2tog] 3 times, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times, repeat from * to last 21 sts, [k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 3 times, [k2tog] 6 times (48 sts).
- Rows 3, 7, 11, 15, and 19: Knit.
- Rows 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20: Knit.
- Row 6: [K2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 3 times, [k2tog] 3 times, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times, repeat from * to last 15 sts, [k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 3 times, [k2tog] 3 times (42 sts).
- Row 10: [K2tog] 6 times, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times, repeat from * to last 12 sts, [k2tog] 6 times (30 sts).
- Row 14: [K2tog] 3 times, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times, repeat from * to last 6 sts, [k2tog] 3 times (24 sts).
- Row 18: [K2tog] 12 times (12 sts).
