k2tog yo mesh short rows

On the short rows, I recommend not actually making the final YO on the way out. Instead, pick up the bar and purl it on the way back. It helps keep the YO smaller.

These are not totally invisible short rows, but they are pretty sneaky.

Yes, the decreases are slanted the right way. I like my mesh to be kind of ropey. You can slant whichever way you like, just replace k2tog with ssk or skp.

  • Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 (RS): *K2tog, yo, repeat from *.
  • Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 22: Purl.
  • Row 11: [K2tog, yo] twice, k1, turn (5 sts).
  • Rows 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20: Sl1 wyif, purl.
  • Row 13: [K2tog, yo] 5 times, k1, turn (11 sts).
  • Row 15: [K2tog, yo] 8 times, k1, turn (17 sts).
  • Row 17: [K2tog, yo] 11 times, k1, turn (23 sts).
  • Row 19: [K2tog, yo] 14 times, k1, turn (29 sts).
  • Row 21: *K2tog, yo, repeat from * (multiple of 2 sts).
