Yarnover edge loops
These are loops down the side of a knitted piece. They could be used to insert blocking wires, or to pick up stitches easily to add a button band to a cardigan front for example. The loops could be spaced more widely than every two rows.

- Row 1 (RS): Yo, k10 (11 sts).
- Row 2: K10, drop st (10 sts).
- Repeat rows 1-2.
