Squared Mesh Stitch (mirrored)
From Odhams Encyclopaedia of Knitting by James Norbury and Margaret Agutter.
I've reversed the pattern so that the decreases are all k2tog rather than ssk because I find k2tog quicker to knit than ssk..
Shown with a cast-on count of 22 stitches.

- Rows 1, 5, and 9 (RS): K2, k2tog, yo, *k6, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
- Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12: Purl.
- Rows 3 and 7: K2, yo, k2tog, *k6, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
- Row 11: *Yo, k2tog, repeat from *.
Cast-on count
- multiple of 8 stitches, plus 6
