Slip-Stitch Bricks

A knit pattern that creates bricks. Technique means only one yarn at a time is used. Slipped stitches are slipped one stitch across four rows.

  • Row 1 (RS): K1, sl1 wyib, *k3, sl1 wyib, repeat from * to last st, k1.
  • Rows 2 and 4: K1, sl1 wyif, *k3, sl1 wyif, repeat from * to last st, k1.
  • Row 3: P1, sl1 wyib, *p3, sl1 wyib, repeat from * to last st, p1.
  • Row 5: *K3, sl1 wyib, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
  • Rows 6 and 8: *K3, sl1 wyif, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
  • Row 7: *P3, sl1 wyib, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p3.
