Shawl top
This is an effort to modify a top down triangle shawl to remove the tab start and the first few rows. The original design is bulky a the base of the neck.
Cast on, work 1 row, then work a pair of short rows to round off the corners at the angle change, then start the shawl pattern.

- Row 3: Sl1 wyib, k2, knit to last 3 sts, k2, sl1 wyib.
- Row 4: K30, turn (30 sts).
- Row 5: Sl1 wyib, k26, turn (27 sts).
- Row 6: Sl1 wyib, knit (30 sts).
- Row 7: K3, yo, k13, yo, k1 tbl, yo, k13, yo, k3 (37 sts).
- Rows 8, 10, 12, and 14: K3, purl to last 3 sts, k3.
- Row 9: K3, yo, k15, yo, k1 tbl, yo, k15, yo, k3 (41 sts).
- Row 11: K3, yo, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, yo, k1 tbl, yo, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, sl1 wyif, k2, yo, k3 (45 sts).
