Lace Blocks

An experiment in lace design. I devised three small symmetrical lace blocks each with three repeated right side rows (wrong sides purled). I put them together vertically in sequence, then made small adjustments to make them flow together better.

I'll try again with more varied blocks.

  • Rows 3 and 5 (RS): P2, *k1, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, sl2-k1-p2sso, yo, ssk, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, p2.
  • Rows 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20: Purl.
  • Row 7: P2, *k1, yo, k2, k2tog, sl2-k1-p2sso, ssk, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, p2 (multiple of 10 sts, plus 5).
  • Rows 9, 11, and 13: P2, *k1, k2, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k2, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, p2.
  • Rows 15 and 17: P2, *k1, ssk, yo, k5, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, p2.
  • Row 19: P2, *k1, yo, ssk, yo, k5, yo, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, p2 (multiple of 12 sts, plus 5).
