This is the pattern that results when the following written instructions are entered:
Rows 1, 2, 4 (RS): k5
Rows 3, 5, 6 (WS): p5
Rows are allowed to be arbitrarily specified as WS or RS. In flat knitting, however, RS and WS rows should alternate.

- Rows 1-2 and 4 (RS): K5.
