Cherry Bombs

Inspired by this Instagram post. Maybe I reverse-engineered it accurately; maybe not.

Note:

  • Work one row each color A and color B on dpns or a circular needle. Slide stitches to the other end of the needle after working each color A row, so the following color B row can begin on the same side of the work.
  • Work each k9tog as shown in this video.
  • To reduce bulk, the stitches below each k9tog are not worked as brSl, but are merely slipped purlwise with yarn held in front.

  • Rows 1, 9, 13, and 21 (RS): Sl1 wyif, k1, *brSl, k1, repeat from *.
  • Rows 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, and 22 (RS): *P1, brSl, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, sl1 wyib.
  • Rows 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, and 23: *P1, brSl, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, sl1 wyib.
  • Row 4 (WS): Sl1 wyif, k1, *[sl1 wyif, k1] 4 times, sl1 wyif, k1, brSl, k1, repeat from * to last 2 sts, brSl, k1.
