Knitting an edging on
This demonstrates knitting a band of garter stitch onto a body of stocking stitch. The same method can be used to knit on any kind of edging. The technique is also used in entrelac knitting.

- Rows 1, 3, and 5 (RS): K18.
- Rows 2 and 4: P18.
- Row 6: P18, CO 4 sts (22 sts).
- Row 11: K3, sl1-k2tog-psso, turn (4 sts).
- Rows 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22: K4.
- Rows 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21: K3, sl1-k2tog-psso, turn.
