Wavy edging (right)
24 row edging pattern with a curvy edge compatible with another pattern to enable a straight edge on a knitted item. This pattern is not intended to be used alone but as the edge stitches on a pattern with curved edges such as Flame Chevron.

- Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23 (WS): Purl.
- Row 2: *K3, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, M1L, k1 (multiple of 5 sts, plus 4).
- Rows 4 and 16: *K2, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k4.
- Rows 6 and 18: *K3, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k4.
- Row 8: *K2, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k3, M1L, k1 (multiple of 5 sts, plus 5).
- Row 10: *K3, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.
- Row 12: *K2, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.
