Nannette Höflich: Die wohlerfahrene, elegante Strickerin, Pattern 71

for a simpler variation change round 8 as follows: Round 8: # Yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k7, yo, ssk, k2, yo, sl1-k2tog-psso, repeat from #. Pattern also proposes to add round 12: Purl if you like.

Attention: I am not absolutely sure about my translation from "old" German knitting terms to stitch map knitting terms. This stitch map is not test knit. I would be glad to receive comments via Ravelry. …

This is a very old stitch pattern (published 1843). I compared the original version of an old pattern to a newer publication from 1983 and tried to find out about the wording. I am collecting my results in a WIKI: strickzeug.wikidot.com. With that list I am trying to decipher some less known patterns like this one. With the wonderful stitch maps technology it wound be able to catalog those patterns. A swatch photo would be nice and I encourage everybody to provide one.

I am tagging all patterns from the above mentioned book with "Nannette Höflich".
