24 segment circle

Adapted from Kalinumba pattern, Timpeallan. Intended for use in double knitting. Rounds 1 and 2 single layer. Every stitch is doubled in round 3 to begin double knitting (this is not shown; only top layer is shown). Increases are done on both layers and stitches rearranged as necessary. (the secret here is adding the equivalent of 4 stitches per row--increase 24 stitches every 6 rows)

  • Round 1: [Kfb] 4 times (8 sts).
  • Round 2: [Kfb] 8 times (16 sts).
  • Rounds 3, 5, 7-11, 13-17, 19-23, and 25-29: Knit.
  • Round 4: [K1, kfb] 8 times (24 sts).
  • Round 6: [Kfb] 24 times (48 sts).
  • Round 12: [K1, kfb] 24 times (72 sts).
  • Round 18: [K1, kfb, k1] 24 times (96 sts).
  • Round 24: [K1, kfb, k2] 24 times (120 sts).
