Vandyke stitch vi (modified)

This is a modified version of Vandyke stitch vi from Mon Tricot. The modifications accomplish three things: - the pattern is no longer off-center - the bunny ears decrease means that the yo in row 1 is centered properly without asymmetrical decreases being used in the chevron - the kfb in row 9 with a compensating decrease in row 11 is gone; I couldn’t figure out why that was supposed to be there and it just looked messy to me.

  • Row 1 (RS): K4, yo, k1, *k6, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3 (multiple of 8 sts, plus 9).
  • Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10: Purl.
  • Row 3: K2, ssk, yo, k1, yo, *k2tog, k3, ssk, yo, k1, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k2tog, k2.
  • Row 5: K1, ssk, yo, k3, *yo, k2tog, k1, ssk, yo, k3, repeat from * to last 3 sts, yo, k2tog, k1.
  • Row 7: Ssk, yo, k4, *k1, yo, sl1-k2tog-psso, yo, k4, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k1, yo, k2tog.
  • Row 9: K3, bunny ears back dec, *k5, bunny ears back dec, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3 (multiple of 7 sts, plus 8).
