Alternatively the bunny ears back stitch could be used. It would make the eyelets slightly bigger.

- Row 2: K1, yo, k1, *bunny ears dec, k1, yo, k1, repeat from * (multiple of 5 sts, plus 3).
- Row 4: *Bunny ears dec, k1, yo, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, bunny ears dec (multiple of 5 sts, plus 2).
