In this version of Double Brioche, you see Barbara Walker's original instructions: yo, sl1 on one row, slip the yarn over and knit the slipped stitch on the following row, then knit them together on the third row.

  • Row 1 (WS): *K1, yo, sl1 wyif, repeat from * (multiple of 3 sts).
  • Rows 2 and 6: K1, *sl1 wyib, k2, repeat from * to last 2 sts, sl1 wyib, k1.
  • Row 3: *Yo, sl1 wyif, k2tog, repeat from *.
  • Row 4: *K2, sl1 wyib, repeat from *.
  • Row 5: *K2tog, yo, sl1 wyif, repeat from *.
  • Repeat rows 3-6.
