Little hearts

This is Kleines Herz modified by using a bunny ears decrease in row 5. This makes the pattern symmetrical.

The bunny ears decrease is useful in lace patterns when you have an odd number of stitches and want a central yarnover.

  • Row 1 (RS): *P2, k2tog, yo, ssk, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p2 (multiple of 5 sts, plus 2).
  • Row 2: *K2, p3, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
  • Row 3: *P2, [k1, yo] twice, k1, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p2 (multiple of 7 sts, plus 2).
  • Row 4: *K2, p5, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
  • Row 5: *P2, k1, bunny ears dec, k1, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p2 (multiple of 6 sts, plus 2).
