Nupps variant
In Row 2, slip 7 sts of the nupp (purlwise) to RN; one by one, pass 6 sts over 1st st on RN; snug the nupp, transfer remaining st to LN and purl it firmly tbl. Work the next stitch snugly as well.

- Row 1 (RS): *K5, 1-to-7 inc, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5 (multiple of 12 sts, plus 5).
- Row 2: P5, *p7tog, p5, repeat from * (multiple of 6 sts, plus 5).
- Row 3: *K5, k1 tbl, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.
- Rows 4 and 6: Purl.
- Row 5: Knit.
