Starflower
Modified version of stitch pattern used in Starflower Hat by Connie Chang Chinchio in Textured Stitches.
Errata for the original pattern instruct the knitter to move the beginning-of-rounds marker at the start of rounds 7 and 15. As shown in the stitch map below, this isn’t necessary, provided your initial placement of the beginning-of-rounds marker is at a “natural break” in the patterning. See also this blog post.

- Round 1: *[K1, yo] twice, k2, ssk, k3, k2tog, k1, repeat from *.
- Rounds 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20: Knit.
- Round 3: *K1, yo, k3, yo, k2, ssk, k1, k2tog, k1, repeat from *.
- Round 5: *K1, yo, k5, yo, k2, sl1-k2tog-psso, k1, repeat from *.
- Round 7: *K1, yo, k2, sl1-k2tog-psso, k2, yo, k4, repeat from *.
